How to join Active Duty Army after termination of my National Guard contract, can I start the recruiting process during ETS?

You will normally find that you will have to wait until you receive your NGB22 before the recruiter can do anything for you. It will have all of those answer like your MOS qualifications, type discharge and your R rating. That won't generate until after you ETS.

No you don’t have to wait until your ETS. Talk to an AD recruiter and request a conditional release to process for entrance into another component. DD FORM 368. That way you will have no break in service.

To be realistic about it, I just can't see anyone in a Chain of Command getting in a big hurry to process a DD368 for someone that is getting close to ETS date. Your mileage may vary.
