My original DEROS was 20APR22, then I extended it 60 days (new DEROS 20JUN22) in order to be able to reenlist instead of being put on assignment by my branch. My Career Counselor looked me up in the system and told me that I am about to be put on assignment by the branch. He also told me that report date is 10MAY22, which is 40 days earlier than my current DEROS. Can or will branch adjust my report date or DEROS?

How exactly did you change your DEROS 60 days? It sounds like you thought your DEROS WAS changed but there is actually more to it than just switching days.
You aren't about to be placed on assignment, you are in the process of being placed on assignment otherwise you wouldn't have a report date
If your DEROS is actually changed your report date will update to a month after that. If someone is erroneously changing DEROSs they're going to get an angry call from HRC
