Why are the VA home loan and burial assistance the only benefits I have?

I served from 1983 to 1989. I earned the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. The only benefits I have are VA home loan and burial assistance. Why is that?

No. The Armed Forces Expeditionary medal would require you to have participated in specific operations. Just being in the military doesn't meet that criteria.
