This is an older Post but I thought would comment. SMC-T (In my experience), is a real murky area. Even Disability attorneys cant agree on the criteria. I am in the process of trying to define the process of applying for it. If anyone else has any first hand knowledge of the issue I would gratefully like to communicate.
