Does the military offer any kind of assistance to the spouses for caregiving?

My Father served in the Army during the Vietnam war. He is now deceased. I now have POA over my Mom who now has dementia. She requires full time care. She does not qualify for assistance from Medicare/Medicaid. I am currently paying for her care as pirate pay which is $4500.00 a month.
