Hi. I am an E5 Promotable, with 8 years TIS. I am OCONUS currently and already got put on orders to CONUS with DEROS JUL22. My current ETS is OCT22. I really don't think I can get promoted in the next 2 years as points have been super high and my career counselor is saying that I can't reclass, I can only reenlist with option 1 for 2 years or more(to meet SRR) and that will put me to 10 years TIS, then I'll go indefinite term. I can't find in any regulation that E5's can go indef. only E6. My reenlistment window is open as of 19Oct21.

SFC, I have orders from OCONUS to CONUS and only thing I can do is reenlist for 2 years since I'm under SRR(time from DEROS to ETS is 6 months)
