PO1 Calvin Hill Sure... why wouldn't it be... if that's what "THEY" choose.

In todays climate some folks are just too sensitive. When I joined the navy there was no such thing as "time out" when someone hurt your feelings. I think we just try to please way too many people all the time.

PO1 Calvin Hill In the early 90's I ran ambulances at Naval Hospital Great Lakes we served NTC and RTC, at that time recruits were given stress cards to use if they got stressed out. I later heard that a sailor tried to use his stress card at his first duty station, it did not go well for the lad.

Wow! Stress cards? Timeouts? What next? The military just got too soft over the years.

I see more good than bad. All of us past, present, and future are links to a rich continuum all the way back to the Continental Army. It is a hallowed continuum. Something to make people proud of for serving.

Some people I've talked to think that veterans should be off limits. Just wanted to get more feedback on the matter.

PO1 Calvin Hill - Those same people probably put vets on a pedestal and think because they are vets that when they get out 5,000 jobs should come rolling in. Really is we are just common people doing an important job for society.

Every time we cave to WOKENESS or discrimination we set a new standard.

MAJ Montgomery Granger - I want to down vote this in the sense you are right and accepting discrimination is so very wrong.
