I'm currently a 25Q in my reenlistment window. I was just told my reclass request was denied because I am promotable. We are trying to put in a waiver request, but has anybody heard of this? I can't find anything online about it. Thank you!

You have to contact the MOS proponent and request a grade waiver. 68W will usually waiver an. E4P, the other 68 series usually will not

CPL (Join to see) emailing them. Not the branch manager, who works at HRC, the proponent who works at the school house. Your Career Counselor can ask around to other CCs, there's a list of proponents floating around the field. Have them ask their senior

SFC (Join to see) He asked out CSM today who said to just drop my p status since they aren't answering. I'd rather not do this but my unit isn't super quick with this kind of stuff and dropping it would be the quickest option. Whatwpukd your recommendation be?

CPL (Join to see) get the grade waiver. If you become promotable again and show up to the school without the grade waiver you may get sent home. Not saying it will happen, but it has happened in the past, especially with 68 Series.

68W is not a difficult MOS to get, so you're not really in a time crunch where you can't wait a week or two for a grade waiver

SFC (Join to see) My only time crunch is that our bn is being disbanded but I have a few months.

Hey man, I wouldn’t reclass to a 68W until you’re an E6. Our points were always near max and you needed nearly max on all sections. I got medically retired in 2016 and if you weren’t a highly decorated combat medic who has a 290 PT with max correspondence course complete, you don’t stand a chance for even E5. We messed up, we should have joined Airforce lol
