When I recently moved into a new house, I found it quite challenging to find the right furniture, especially for my kid's room. I searched quite a bit before I stumbled upon a website that offered exactly what I needed. Among other things, I was looking for a toddler bed frame and managed to find one at a reasonable price on https://www.cooltoddlerbeds.com. I believe I paid around $150 for it, which seemed like a good deal considering its quality and design. For appliances like a washer/dryer, I'd recommend checking local appliance stores or online marketplaces where people often sell lightly used items for a fraction of the cost.

Check the Classifieds. People moving in and out of Benning all the time. My wife and I decided to get rid of most of our furniture there instead of moving it again. I started about 30 days before I PCS'd and the last week we were sleeping on an air mattress and sitting on camping chairs. Did keep the TV and Stereo, and the Baby's Bed.

Also, there used to be a Thrift/Consignment shop on Benning that had a lot of stuff, although the decent stuff moved pretty quick from my recollections. Don't know if it's still around or not. There was one on most post when I was still around.

Facebook marketplace is about the best place to buy used stuff like a washer and dryer. I wouldn't by furniture online. I did that once and it was a failure. I would go to Tate Furniture in Phenix City. They have some good prices. I am here at Benning and got my place furnished by them.
