CLS is like FST. We PM can teach FST the moment we roll out of AIT. We have no official teaching certification. We are just the SMEs in FST just like you are the SMEs in CLS. If the BN Medic is stating certification is needed, then ask them to show you where in doctrine and/or regulations it states this. Then, ask them who told them this. Then, ask them to show you their certification of instruction.

Thank you for your input, I have asked him and he never gave a straight answer. I even went into deployed medicine where the army pulls tccc standards from and the only course I could find about a cls instructor course was for non medical personnel. I’m not saying he’s lying just that he’s misinformed which is why I figured it best to ask the question on here. Again thanks sergeant

SGT (Join to see) - Almost sounds like they're blowing smoke up your six just to mess with you. And if they can't produce stuff then they're obviously full of shit

CLS is taught through the administrator who is usually your PLT SGT or Section SGT, the course is then signed by your PA or medical director and authorized by your BN CMDR. The administrator is really the one giving the course and he can use other CLS graduates to give the course don’t have to be a medic as long the course is being taught to training plan standard.

There is a CLS instructor course. I took it while stationed at Drum. It went over all the correct information, provided instructors with power-points, and how to teach. Like a two week course.

Thanks, do you have any information on it? I’d like to provide it to my company so that I can be more of an asset

SGT (Join to see) I don’t. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been at Drum. Your best bet is contact your local MSTC or the closest one ask them. I left drum 2014. So can’t really help with that.
