I recently injured my knee and was told it was runners knee. I am to rest for a couple of weeks and use RICE method. I am to leave for BCT in two weeks. What will happen? Will I need to go to MEPS again? Or will I just sign a new contract and new unit? Will I need to redo the PiCat and Physical? Is there a way to delay my ship date a couple of months to ensure I’m 100% to go to BCT?

You need to notify your Recruiter time now. Your recruiter will be best to answer

I notified them and they just said to wait and see. I’m suppose to leave in about 2 weeks

Carter Werkheisee - As long as they are aware, then you should be fine. Your Recruiter is the one that will pick you up and take you to MEPS the day you're supposed to ship. However, if your civilian provider gave you a medical prognosis of yo needing to wait and rehabilitate for 3 months (as an example), then you will need to show that to your Recruiters.

MSG (Join to see) - My guess is the recruiter just wants Carter to ship and let the BCT Bn handle it if it goes bad. If the knee is a problem, Carter is going to get recycled or sent home. Either way the recruiter meets the quota.

It's between you and your recruiter. But know your recruiter wants you to ship.
And any contracted info like MOS, bonus or anything else is most likely tied to your ship date. It could possibly follow you but ship dates coincide with MOS school dates and so on. Everything leans on something else. It's your call ultimately. It's the different between hurting your knee and seriously injuring your knee. I have no idea the severity of your issue.

What would happen if I were to need to cancel my ship date? Will I need to redo all of MEPS again if I cleared? Or just reenlist

Carter Werkheisee - As I said, that is a conversation to have with your recruiter.
