I am supposed to receive Disability severance 27k. I got out beginning of January. 2 weeks later I received My final check from days sold and partial base bay and BAH for 5k. VA pay is supposed to start March. Don’t I suppose to get Severance from the Army before? Isn’t final check and Severance pay seperate? How long does it usually take?

I didn’t receive severance but it took 7 weeks to get my final pay. They held it to ensure I didn’t have any outstanding debt, all my hand receipts were cleared, and my clearing paperwork was processed. This may be what’s going on.

How long did it end up taking? I'm about 40 days into the "30-60 days" they say it could take to process.
