What’s the next step for someone who has been in OSUT for over a year due to an injury related to nerves?

I have been in OSUT a year due to a injury that has to do with my nerves and the army doesn’t wanna tell me what’s the next step ?

Don't worry, the Army will kick you out once your provider says you are not recoverable. The fact you haven't been separated yet is good news for your recovery

"The Army" won't tell you? This is a conversation to have with your medical provider. The long and short of it is that you need to determine if the issue has a name and if it has a treatment plan. That ultimately determines whether it can be fixed and if you end up going the med board route.

PV2 (Join to see) You need to speak to your medical provider and ask questions. What is wrong? Do we have a diagnosis? Is there a treatment plan? What do I need to be able to do to finish OSUT and move forward. Can I continue serving with this issue if it isn’t treatable?

I want you to stand at Parade Rest and hear my words:. GO. TALK. TO. YOUR. MEDICAL PROVIDER. Seriously, if you want to know what your treatment plan is, THAT is who you talk to. They're the ones that do the referrals to other departments like Physical Therapy. I get it. You're in training so you feel lost in the sauce a little. BUT. You still need to pull up your big boy pants and take charge of your medical recovery. If they aren't telling you anything (HIGHLY unlikely), then YOU go ask for updates.

PV2 (Join to see) - "Got in trouble" with your drill sergeant for asking about medical updates? Not out of the realm of possibility but wouldn't be smart on their part to deny medical care when you seem to be a hold over.
If that drill sergeant is giving you issues, go to the senior drill sergeant. Also let your provider know once you see them that you haven't been allowed to seek care if that is true.

PV2 (Join to see) #1: don’t lose your bearings here. He’s you Drill Sergeant. He EARNED that and should be referred/addressed by such. #2: denying or hindering medical care is something I am CERTAIN no Cadre in TRADIC would engage in. If so, there’s another set of issues. That said, nerve damage and loss of tactile feeling is NO QUICK FIX. I am currently in treatment for nerve damage myself and know the struggle is real. If you’re still having symptoms, take your backside to sick call and then, also request an appt with your provider.
I don’t know you, but reading this thread, I see a whole lot of excuses and little actual real effort from you. Pull up your big boy pants and respectfully get answers to your questions. Don’t leave your next appt until you have those answers.

PV2 (Join to see) wait a sec: you’re saying you’re IN THE MEDBOARD?? If so, you’re in for 6-12 months minimum for that to process. You’ll also go to VA appts to determine your VA rating (if applicable). You’ll still receive treatment while going they this process. I’m surprised you haven’t been sent to a SRU as those units are specifically designed for recovery and also MedBoard scenarios. What is your OSUT location? and Have you asked your provider about an SEU referral?
