How long does your unit and HRC have to promote you?

My unit sent up an ETP in OCT2021 for my promotion to SSG, I made the by-name promotion list for JAN2022 without the ETP and I still haven't received promotion orders, or been pinned and paid. I was informed my ETP sat on Brigades desk from OCT2021 until JAN2022 and is now at HRC for the past two months apparently. Just curious if anyone knows how long this process is supposed to last, as many people in my unit have received ETPs or completed BLC/ALC and made points/by name and still waited 8+ months for orders and are still waiting months later for back pay

If memory serves, the ETP was to promote folks that are unable to complete the required PME but will have one year to complete the PME to retain promotion. Since you got selected for promotion thru normal channels and not thru the ETP, one could deduce that you will need to complete your PME IOT to promote (if you haven't completed your PME, that is). Now, if you have completed your PME and mad the list in January....you should probably see orders very soon. Again, this is if you have completed PME. If you have NOT done PME...then you will need to.
Now....have you taken this RFI to your CoC? Have they submitted an RFI on your behalf? Have you contacted HRC?

The ETP was to waive ALC being that I’m in one of the SFAB units. We either need to make points or have our PME completed to receive the ETP. I had made points so the ETP once signed and finalized at HRC would effectively promote me to SSG and I would have 1 year to complete ALC. I’m currently in ALC now.
I have taken it to my CoC who refers me to S1, S1 generally doesn’t have much knowledge on the current status of the situation or isn’t much help.
I have been told not to contact HRC and that only S1 should do so.

Edit: I have made countless attempts at contacting S1 about it however they’re usually busy or need to get back to me with information. As of now the last few times I’ve checked (usually once a week) it’s been at HRC for the last 50-60 days.

SGT(P) (Join to see) you've been told to NOT contact HRC? Wow. Based on this and the other things you've mentioned (going months without getting the back pay)...I'd say a little trip to IG may be in order to see if the unit is violating regs (because it almost sounds like they are). Because at most, when a SM has made points, PME complete and on the list, it should take no more than 2-3 months for orders

Since you made the list without the ETP you can throw that away because it is useless. Your BDE S1 is responsible for cutting promotion orfers for semi-centrailized promotion orders. Go see your S1 with the by name list and ask for your orders.
