Currently awaiting my 2nd date with meps and would like to have a leg up. I am reading a few mortarman pubs but math has never been a strength.

Haha, I was dumb ass a rock in math in high school. After 22 years as a mortarman I will say geometry is not math. Angles , maps, compass. Those tests know. Who would make a good mortarman. About 11 formulas throughout my career. Now.... Computers do the job. Have fun, blow some targets up. And stay fit.

You will be fine, the Army teaches everything you need to know. Failure will only come if you do t apply yourself. Washout rate does not come from mathematical related issues.

Good question. It can take a lot of effort to begin to understand mathematics. It all depends on you, whether you are ready to accept the information, and on the teacher, how ready he is to not accept the material prepared by him. I also had some problems with this question. But I found a solution. When you understand the basic concepts, all the others are easier to understand. The resource https://plainmath.net/secondary/statistics-and-probability/high-school-statistics, where there are many questions on various topics, helped me in this. There are many answers and explanations. Your questions will not remain unanswered. Good luck.

Protractor, plotting board, and map is all you need angle and range. When I was in the computer was just coming out, we were able to do most of the work in our heads and we were not math geniuses. Just use your smarts.
