I am in need of a decent, within regs pack I can use when I travel TDY. I would like something Molle, with good utility, a place for a namestrip, and lots of space. No need for a gram but must be acceptable for a "carry on" on most flights. Ideas??

Best rugged bags out there are from Mystery Ranch or Tactical Tailor:

I have the Tactiplane, very satisfied with it! The back support and fit is outstanding! You can get into the bag through the top or through the back, extremely convenient and expeditionary.

best pack for an airplane would be a Tactical Tailor or a Blackhawk 3-day pack... I prefer tactical tailor... a lot of compartment space but not too bulky to put under need the chair. Amazon sells both
