I am active duty planning to apply for ROTC ADO and I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a waiver for getting a second Bachelors Degree. I know I can just go OCS and it says ROTC is for 1st Bachelors but I don't plan on going for my MBA and my degree will be in I.T. Management from WGU. Any information would be appreciated thanks.

In the ADO and scholarship options, the Army is paying for a first bachelors or first masters. Paying a scholarship, and even paying full pay an allowances for a second bachelors would be a waste of money under that program.

If your intent is to use this time to seek a second BA/BS, then you are either looking at G2G non-scholarship option, where your commissioning would be based on the degree you already have, and just need to be a full-time student for the duration of ROTC, or getting a waiver to go over the credit limit to pursue a second BA/BS while enrolled in a masters program.

Or you could just go to OCS and complete a masters in IT management online with WGU.

I’ve seen it done. It’s possible. Talk to the ROTC ROO.

The short answer is no, ROTC programs and scholarships are for first degree only and the scholarships
are competitive. Most ROTC programs to allow you to pursue a Masters, but not a BA/BS.
