So I head to ALC at San Antonio in about a month, and I haven't been in the area in a few years now. Where are the best spots for a good meal and a cold drink?

My favorites are Dough Pizzeria Napoletana, The Quarry Hofbrau & Beer Garden, and down on the RiverWalk the Iron Cactus for margaritas and Tex-Mex.

If you want a really great meal try Texas De Brazil steakhouse at 313 E Houston St. It will run you about $45 a person (plus drinks), but the food is amazing, and they just keep bringing it until you can't take any more.

Another place I like, a couple of blocks away: Moses Rose's Hideout at 516 E Houston St. Great place for a burger and a beer. When you first walk in the door it looks like a whorehouse, but then you walk through the second door and it's a normal saloon.
