I currently live in Ohio and the tree pollen here constantly gives me sinus problems and chronic bronchitis. I will be graduating in the next two years and would like to get a civil service job somewhere where I will have better health. Also I love the mountains!

When you first move here...get some local honey. Eating it will help you with your adapting to Colorado Springs.

Really it depends on the allergies you have. I don't know what mine are but they are apparently what ever is around here. The problem is the dry air allows for the particles in the air to move around a lot. Many do find it's better for them here then back east in the more humid climates. lots of ragweed and sagebrush here.

I'm really allergic to trees, which sucks because I love trees, but the other pollens like grass, etc. don't really bother me at all. Something about the tree pollen gives me a sinus migraine. A good friend informed me that CS has low pollen count so I wanted to get some other input on the matter. Thank you for your response sir, it's been helpful! :)

Usually it's not terrible, this time of year can be bad. Today grass and tree pollen levels are high and I am sneezing my head off. I would say try to get out here during late spring or early summer and get a gauge on how it affects you, 9-10 months a year is not an issue. With the city itself, 4 air bases and an army base there are plenty of civil service jobs.

That sounds good I'm miserable here from mid March to the end of October. I'll have to plan a trip in the Spring to check it out. Thanks for the feedback!
