Do prior service have drill sergeants in 88M AIT?

DS returned to AIT in 2018 after they had "platoon sergeants" from 2008-2018. For prior service, you shouldn't have to deal with the DS much. In my AIT, prior service people were in separate barracks from us IET soldiers and then outside of class I think we were told to basically just not even hang out with them.

Good information. I was under the impression that all AIT students were still housed together. Any additional information about your experience would probably help other prior service service individuals.

SFC Antonio Baird - I wasn't prior service...we had some prior service in our class when I went to AIT and they were not housed with the IET soldiers. In fact, we were told to not hang out with them outside of class. People did...but it was fraternization if they got caught.

All AIT Students have Drill Sergeants. As a former infantry soldier, they will probably use you in some sort of leadership position within your class. Embrace.
