I’m an 2LT 11A and just got orders to Hohenfels. It’s my first duty station. What’s the day to day look like there? Does being in an OPFOR unit adversely effect my career?

Being a Platoon Leader in an OPFOR Infantry unit will not hamper your career. In fact, I think it will help you down the road. The reason being is that you will have OPFOR tactics added to your book of knowledge that you will be able to use down the road when you're no longer OPFOR. You will be in the Box quite a bit, though.

While I can’t answer about Hohenfels, I can answer the OPFOR question. Being a Platoon Leader is being a Platoon Leader, no matter what type of unit it is. It shouldn’t adversely affect you.

Seems to me Sir, that it wouldn't, being able to put Platoon leading and tactics to work everyday would be a plus in my opinion.
