I recently accepted a new position at my current job that is classified as a "professional" position . I was told by HR that I have to take a professional headshot and that I need to find a place that does so. Since I have to do that, I was thinking about taking another one in my dress uniform. Does anyone here have experience with this? How much do these fancy photo shoots cost?

Why would you wear your military uniform for a non-military job? If it IS a military position, then go with the uniform (of course), otherwise wear appropriate business attire.

Regarding "how much" - that's going to widely vary depending on where you live. However, there are numerous 'cheaper' options that going to a professional studio.

Why don't you ask the other's in the 'rogues gallery' and see what they did for their head shot.

Honestly, just a friend with a decent camera, digital preferred, and a decent backdrop.

It depends on the photographer you use and how much they charge for professional head shots.

2LT (Join to see) - Well that's up to you to go look at photographers in your area to see if they list headshots on their website. I mean...no one is going to know if they don't live where you do. Smh.

It's called go look up "photographers who do headshots" in your area or post in an exchange group to see if any photographers do and their prices.
