What regulation addresses BAH for IET sailors who choose to geographic bachelor?

I was told I may get my BAH request denied because the navy is not authorizing BAH for IET sailors who choose to geo Bach. I am in a location where it is a substantial amount and I need the extra money to support my family.

I have not been able to find this reg and my command is also looking for me. Does anyone here know?

My A School is a permanent PCS it is over a year long.

Are you attending your A School? Is your A School Orders permanent change of station or are they TDY in route? How long is your school? Either way, this you guide you to what you need to submit. I suspect that you are TDY to your A School, in which case you need to submit a Delayed Dependent Travel Request. That will allow you to pull BAH for your home location until you hit your permanent duty station and move your family.

SN (Join to see) - Go to the site I listed. The Navy has several policies that allow you to leave your dependents at home or your former station. Be aware that you will get only one Housing Allowance, so you may end up paying for your local quarters.

CPT Lawrence Cable - Thank you, this is where the situation is weird. My family is in one location, I am at a permanent PCS. Yesterday I was told they are not authorizing BAH for me at all. Not BAH where I am nor BAH where my family is.

SN (Join to see) - Who are "They"? You need to make a trip to finance and housing to see what the problem is about. If you are a married enlisted, you are entitled to BAH with dependents. Didn't you get receive BAH w/dependents while you were at Great Lakes?
You do know that the Navy will pay to move your family on a PCS move, then pay to move them again at the end of the tour.
Do your orders state unaccompanied?

Excellent response Sir. But, I'm a little confused about His situation. I recall when I was going through YN A school at NAS Meridian I received BAH while I stayed in the barracks.Even as a GEO Bachelor He should be rec BAH as well.
