With an increased emphasis placed of national cyber security, is it inevitable that our country will face a monumental cyber attack and if so, from which country or group?

just by looking at the news and seeing all the Cyber attacks already happening I would say there is a good chance it will happen at some point. I would say China and Russia would be the most likely country to attack us with a major cyber attack.

What do you suggest we do to help prevent an attack from one of these nations?

that right there is the problem. I could say increase spending on cyber security and beefing up our cyber security the fact is there will always be a way in that we don't see coming. probably the best thing we could do right now is focus on training our military and government employee's on proper cyber security measures already in place. a lot of the attacks you see today are from people opening malicious links via emails and what not. cutting down on that or better eliminating that will take away a lot of the "back doors" these counties use.

Our country will continue to be probed for weaknesses, and attacked. China and North Korea lead the list.

Do think that our country should be more on the offensive rather then the defensive when dealing with potential cyber attacks from these other nations?

We have to beef up our defenses via active cyber defense which calls for taking actions to resist attacks against networks and computers. Attacks will happen. When we identify an attacker, we must respond in a manner that cripples the attackers capability to carry out future attacks.

Definitely. Everything is run by a computer of some kind. A focused attack could put our country in serious trouble.
