As a miltech/dual status in the Army Reserve, is there an ETP to use my student loan repayment bonus? I know the reg says no, but just wondering if there is an ETP out there.

Dealing with student loans and military regulations can be a headache. It's essential to explore all the options available to us. While the reg might say no, there could be exceptions or special cases (ETPs) that might apply. But hey, I'm not a financial expert, so I reached out to a Mortgage Broker in Barnsley ( https://sheffieldmoneyman.com/mortgage-broker-barnsley/ )for some advice once, and it was super helpful! They gave me some solid insights, and it made me feel more confident about my financial decisions. So, don't hesitate to seek guidance from someone who knows the ins and outs of this stuff.

Basically, if your significant other joins the Army and qualifies for the program, they may be eligible for student loan repayment assistance. The amount they receive depends on their enlistment contract and the Army's needs.

The only ETPs for a bonus or SLRP are for actions that are "no fault of the Soldier" such as an MTOE realignment or command direct that moves the Soldier out of the contracted position.
