Does inactive service on DD214 counts towards time in service once a prior service re-enlists?

Prior service looking at re-enlistment options, found out I got about 8 months or inactive service on my DD214 (I was in the reserves before going active).

You were in a Drilling Reserve unit, and not IRR? Generally they will adjust your time in grade, but you should be able to get credit for years in service for pay. Break in service has some different rules, but the Army is pretty fair about your basic entry date for pay.
