What was your experience with the Call to Active Duty Program for going Army Reserves to Active Duty?

For those who went from Reserves to Active Duty Army through the Call to Active Duty Program, what was your experience like? How long was the process? Once accepted, do you have a say on your preferred duty station? Any details you can provide would be much appreciated as I am considering such a move myself. Thank you.
