We have a soldier who went through reclass and graduated this mid June with a new MOS. The soldier was TDY-and-return due to IPPS-A transition in Feb-Mar timeframe and at that time in the grade of E5, now E6(next month). As soon as the soldier returned to the duty station, the BN Career Counselor put a request for follow-on assignments with HRC as the BN doesn't have proper slot for the soldier's new MOS/rank. It has been over a month and still no projections no response from Branch/Retention.

I would have the 1SG or CSM contact his new branch manager and work it personally. I never saw a time when the CSM could not resolve any career related support issue.

This issue arose for me and several other NCOs who transitioned to MI. Due to some internal conflict within the branch, the publication of any orders was halted for about four months after we completed AIT. It wasn't until I reached out to the IG that my orders were issued within a few days after filing a report.
