Hey y'all. This question heavily revolves around PNN, but it's a question nonetheless.

I joined the Army as an 18X. A year and a half later, I'm getting dropped from the Q. I am facing a reclass because of the "needs of the Army". Luckily I get to choose between 5 different jobs, so I won't be stuck as a cook at the 82nd. A couple of the jobs either have signing bonuses, reenlistment bonuses, or both. My question: is it possible to get the signing/reup bonus for reclassing? Pretty bummed out about not getting my 18X bonus and I know the answer is more than likely no, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

At this point in time, no bonus money for you. You are lucky to have the ability to pick a new MOS, normally you would be assigned IAW the needs of the Army. The reenlistment bonus is for those who are already MOS qualified, the signing bonus is for new recruits who come in.
For now, just pick an MOS that you think will assist you in the future, short term and long term, do your best and hope that when your REUP window opens there is a bonus.
Keep your head up and good luck.

In the U.S. Army, bonuses are typically tied to specific Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) or jobs and may not be transferable when you reclassify. The availability of bonuses, as well as the specific MOSs that qualify for them, can change over time and may be subject to the needs of the Army.

In most cases, bonuses are associated with the initial enlistment or reenlistment into a particular MOS, and reclassification often doesn't come with the same bonuses. However, I recommend speaking with your career counselor or a human resources specialist within your unit or installation. They will have the most up-to-date information on bonus eligibility and any possible exceptions or special circumstances that might apply to your situation.
Besides, when I moved to Mexico, I had this question about bonuses, in fact I was interested in what casino bonuses there are, I was very happy when I found out about this source https://casinosanalyzer.com/bonuses-by-countries/mexico-mex because here I found everything I needed, now I can play on my favorite platform that suits me best.

Reclass can get a bonus providing the MOS being reclassified to offers a bonus. Your retention NCO will know.

You aren’t eligible for an enlistment bonus because you are already in and you don’t qualify for reenlistment because you are still in that entry level bubble.

I recommend being grateful you have an opportunity to pick. There are droves of folks who are force fed into the needs of the Military and just get what they get. It’s not an ideal situation but it certainly isn’t as bad as it could be
