The Army Reserve's mission is Support. Support (supply, maintenance, transport, accountability) is a peacetime and wartime function; we never need to simulate combat logistics the same way we have to simulate combat maneuver/fires/aviation.

What could Sustainment and Logistics units in the Army Reserve do to build, maintain, and sharpen skills?

Link up with your war-trace active duty units.  If you don't have a war-trace then reach out to your local active duty units and see if you can fit into their training schedule for field problems.  Or plug into local active duty sustainment units and see if you can piggy-back on their training events.

That is great advice, sir. Scheduling would be difficult, but I'll definitely keep this in mind for when I'm an XO.
