Ben Stein was born in Washington, DC and is therefore citizen of our nation. He is fully eligible to run for president and serve the office of elected.

A good political candidate must be a successful candidate. Ben is just another of the many who would never be successful as he can't attract a sufficient base. Same goes for all the retired Flags I've seen RP member swoon over. Since the general public cannot connect like they did with Ike, I don't think we'll see a career military do well. The exception would have been Colin Powell, but winning would have been problematical.
