How does travel work on a ppm move stateside ?

My understanding of is that 1 day is authorized per 350 miles. So my question is is in hotel stay authorized per day? For example if your authorized 4 days for travel are you authorized 4 hote stay?

Generally speaking yes. There are additional days authorized for varying reasons, awaiting housing, attending required training in route. All of that will be explained on your orders.

Unfortunately orders no longer give your explicit benefits just general information. Orders are now 2 pages. 1st pages are the who what when where. 2nd is only basic Dependent info, lines of accounting, sytems entitlements, discretionary entitlements, and meber elections. Under system is just ucmj and the mandate you are to report. Under discretionary entitlements its stuf like how ma povs and if Dependent ate authorized.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - You will need to attend a levy/PCS/PPM brief, where they explain contract moves and PPM for HHG, lodging and per diem during move, Temporary Lodging Expense (TLE) at the new installation, etc.

Anything and everything regarding a DoD entitlement for travel, shipments, transportation, per diem, TDY, PCS, etc., is in the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR)*. If you're ever looking for an authoritative answer, this is where you should start.
If this is the first time you're doing a PPM, then I highly suggest you dig through the JTR to see what eligibilities, restrictions, how calculations are made, etc.
For example, while 350 miles per day is a rule of thumb when traveling by automobile, your actual calculation for travel days is "1 day for 400 miles or less, but if more than 400 miles away, divide by 350 and credit 1 additional day if the remainder is 51 or more". Which means 400 miles or less = 1 day of travel; 401-750 = 2 days; 751-1100 = 3 days; 1101-1450 = 4 days; etc.
Specific to your questions, Chapter 2 covers travel and transportation allowances (section 020309 covers "Trip Length As It Affects Per Diem) and Chapter 5 covers Permanent Duty Travel (section 050205 covers "Authorized Travel Time")
