I'm not sure if this is a trick question or not.

To the title of the question, "Do the Battle Staff and Inspector General courses provide promotion points?" - Yes, the standard for any resident military training - 4 points per 40-hours of training.

To the question under that, "How many promotion points if any do I get for those courses?" ... Ummm. None. You'll go before a centralized promotion board and, if found to be qualified for promotion, be placed on an order of merit list with a sequence number. Promotions to MSG are not based on points like SGT and SSG promotions are.

SFC, you make MSG the same way you did your current grade. No points are involved.

I am refraining any other response as your very questions is of concern.

I think we all are refraining from addition comment, CSM Darieus ZaGara. One thing I can think of that would generate this question is that the SFC is NG and he may be going for the one and only MSG slot for 68W in his State. His question does still raise an eyebrow.

MSG (Join to see) I thought about that after I hit send. I knew someone would help so it saved me the awkward addition. Thank my friend.

As a SFC, promotion points no longer matter for you.
