My son is 15 years old and decided his life goal is to seek an Air Force commission in either Intelligence or Information Technology. We are looking at options as far as ROTC Scholarships and the Academy for commissioning. Would also like to look at other options between now and 18. He is a HS sophomore and can be starting college at 17.
What is the earliest he can join an Air National Guard unit?
What is the best way to proceed for Air Force Branch selection?
Are ROTC programs (Army, AF, Navy) interchangeable?
Any recommendations?

Chief,
A lot of those programs offer a chance for them to go out with them for a weekend or two to experience what they do. I would highly suggest it since it will give him an idea of what really happens and help make his decision a more informed one.
