I am huge fan of cloud services. I have Google Drive, Mega, and Drop Box. Although now I pay for Google services to attain 100 Gigs of Cloud storage. My computer recently went side ways. I got a new computer. I pretty much stored everything on my computer but I linked it my Google drive so it automatically syncs it. So when I logged back into my Google Drive on my desktop it was like nothing was happened. I have done this a few times. Plus it makes it able to reach files on the cloud from any device and I can share files with with anyone by sharing a folder. It has come in a handy many times.

What do you use?
For me it is Google Drive for 1.99 a month for 100 Gigs.

Right now I just use One Drive and I am pretty happy with it. I may start backup up more of my files to it. I have used Google Drive a little and I also like it (I also like what you said about 100G for $1.99 a month). Why I don't use it more often though is my firewall at work blocks Google Drive.

For my most sensitive files, I encrypt them and back them up to a removable hard drive.

I am a paranoid old-school user. I've been burned in every way, from having my TRASH-80 cassettes get "eaten" to dropping my cards on the floor (without numbering them), to "energetic disassembly" of hard drives, to... you get the picture.

1. On-hardware backup (i.e., modular drive, SSD, of course)
2. Off-hardware backup (NAS in my house... RAID 1E across 3 drives)
3. Off-site backup (DELETED... too close to being an advert)

Sorry, CPT (Join to see) ... No "Cloud" for me. One of my clients has a group of paid cyber-ANTI-security "punks" whose purpose in life is to break into places to test vulnerabilities. "Cloud" means that everyone can see your junk... "Oh, look at the pretty clouds!"

I suppose so but I really don't have anything worth looking at. I am just a guy that backs up some random files at best.

When your business requires the ability to (nearly) instantaneously recover and transfer confidential (and sometimes Law Enforcement Sensitive) materials, your idea of data-storage changes. Radically. Gone are the days - for me - when copying files to CDs was a fool-proof method of backup and archiving!

We all use the tools we need. Hey... I'm one of those guys whose COMPLETE set of tools includes a cordless drill with 5 different sets of bits, adapters and sockets. And a hammer. And a set of crescent hammers. (Everyone needs a set of crescent hammers!)

From what you've said, you're doing just fine with cloud storage. I would make sure that you use SOMETHING to back up the stuff you can't reproduce, like music, photos, legal documents, etc. Separate of the cloud. (And - again the paranoia - don't put legal documents on the cloud.)

To me that is worth it. A year of storage is only 24 bucks. That is awesome and the ability to back up everything is easy. Google drive runs on your computer at home.
