SGT Bryon Sergent, Is see what you did there. In 1975, the first missiles was testing against drones in White Sands. Initially developed for surface to air capabilities against aircraft, I think the mid to late 80’s, Patriot was upgraded with limited uses against actual missile defense and received their first true test in Desert Storm. I personally served as a Maintenance NCO for a Patriot Battery during the invasion of Iraq and witnessed the reliability and capability of the Patriot system. It’s a great piece of modern missile defense technology.
