As most of you know, unless you been deployed under a rock, the vote on the Iran Nuclear Deal is coming up here in a few days. This deal has of course landed itself in a ton of hot water. Some are saying it's a good deal and should be carried forward, others are saying that it will put the US and our Allies in a weaker position against what people classify as a terrorist state.

Here's the question though, what is Plan B? If this deal, which I agree is not the best, is voted down by Congress; what is Plan B? Does it matter if the US pulls out of a deal that was made in concert with our Allies including Britain, France, and Germany? If carried forward, does the 10 year time line and the removal of nuclear by-products truly set Iran far enough back in their development of a weaponized nuclear device?

Good question. I'm not aware of one. They may go back to the negotiating tables.

I'm not aware of one either than to do what PO1 John Miller suggested and bomb them back to the stone age which might look good on paper but could result in an outcome that can be worse than the deal. While I don't expect anyone here to have a rock solid "Plan B" for this, I thought it would be interesting to see what the RP Community thinks as far as what might work in real life.

Hopefully Plan B is to bomb them into oblivion!

There is no Plan B. However, there are a bunch of steps. Saudi Arabia takes control of the nukes they bought from Pakistan, Turkey and Egypt begin weaponization of their individual nuclear programs. The smaller countries (Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Oman, Yemen) all start WMD programs of their own. Isreal is forced to take a much more aggressive stance with Palestine, their borders, and their WMD programs. I wouldn't rule out some sort of dirty bomb exploding over Irans nuclear facilities. The United States continues to pay each of them huge amounts of money not to start a full scale war. Then eventually, somebody kills the wrong Politician, Prince, or King and BOOM WW III (the nuclear one) starts.
