How did you make yourself competitive for your promotion??

Not this year, but maybe I can get a re-look next. ;)
NCOs need to become VERY familiar with their CMF's NCO Professional Development Guide and worry about what THEY can better themselves on and not what they cannot control.

In my MOS, they only issued 2 sequence #'s last year. I knew #1. He only had 3 duty assignments but one of them was at a group. He was able to get a lot of training they don't typically offer my MOS. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little jealous at some of the schools. I honestly don't know what happened to #2 but they were in the "pending" list & eventually just fell off.
As far as myself, I'd like to think I did. Ive completed my NCOES requirements through SSD4 & have some of the favorite schools they like to see but at this day in age its hard to tell what they are looking for...
I'm with you and SSG Cedeño, I'm interested in seeing the AAR.
