My very close friend David Snelson and his wife were featured in their effort to recover "Super 6-1" the Helicopter that went down over Somalia Oct 3 1993 that was the start of an all night recovery operation under extreemly hostile fire. You will see footage that you have never seen before. as 60 Minutes did a Piece on the efforts to recover some of the wreckage and place it in a Museum in Fayettville. Two Delta Force Snipers Master Sgt Gary Gordon and Sgt 1st Class Randy Shugart did an outstanding job defending a second Black Hawk and lost their lives in the process were later both awarded Medal of Honor posthumously. My Buddy David Snelson (former CWO4 Intel officer) runs PBi2 and is the CEO of Polaris Business Intelegence and Investigations in Somalia. I'm very glad to share with you all this piece. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50156575n

Chief,

I saw this piece, it brought back a lot of emotions and feelings that I had put away years ago after leaving country, I was working security at the airport in Moga when the S#$@ hit the fan, we wanted to send more support but weren't allowed to have anything move from the airport.

I lost some good friends at that time due to injuries and fatalities, and I think the tributes have been good to this point, but we still have many unanswered questions to this day about that fateful day and subsequent operations that didn't accomplish anything viable for the entire issue and lives lost. Still have bitter taste over the whole thing even though I continued in my career for another 17 years after that.

Thank you for sharing, take care and stay safe.
