While making a purchase on Amazon, I noticed a "Kindle Free" reading app. Have you tried it?

Best way to use it is on a mini-ipad or small device like that. Get all the advantages of a Kindle without having to buy a kindle. Plus on a device like an Ipad the pictures, maps, and everything else are very easy to read and reference. Though you should buy a Kindle. Lots of free and really cheap books. Plus you can carry 1000 books in your cargo pocket and email your self web pages, pdfs, word documents. Eventually I assume there will be no books.

I got it, it's great on the tablet and laptop. I use it to read from time to time when I don't have my kindle present or its charging.

Yes, I use it on a regular basis. Plus if you have it, you can subscribe to Digital Book Spot and get free and inexpensive e-books. As an insomniac, I go through 5 or 6 books a week.
