It's nice to see members of Rally Point band together especially with SPC Manaco s delimma of finding a reserve area in Germany. While this has been my first experience with it, how eel has RallyPoint assisted you with either military or civilian affairs?

I am loving this site!  It's an excellent networking tool.  I consider it akin to Linkedin but for the military.

In many ways I like Rallypoint so much better because it's military oriented. It means every single member here has a common ground to stand on, whereas on InkedIn, it's not as common. Having the same background means a lot.
I may not have agreed or liked every comment I have read but I damn sure have the utmost respect for every single person on here.

I especially like seeing the open military opinions posted on here. While most of us will abstain from commenting on mass forums like Facebook or news websites, Rallypoint really gives us an opportunity to voice our thoughts to like minded and professional individuals that have a little more understanding of the challenges and circumstances around our careers. While this is still in no way a closed forum, at least it isn't as damning a platform as many of our social media sites.

Outstanding question. The mix of cultures with veterans, civilians and current military allows us to have a melting pot of knowledge to turn to. I can talk to both military and civilian counselors on here and that bridges the gap of cultures which by rights, should not be there. This is the closest program I have seen that bridges the gap between military and civilian culture. This is a huge step forward in handling something that VA cannot handle alone.
