Safety, safety, safety. That troop's recklessness could've easily become a catastrophe. Additionally, he advertised. That action encouraged others to follow suit. Stupid he was. Stupid does deserve the Article 15.

FAA rules not just UCMJ. If I'm in the air with you I trust you to take it seriously. I'm a Tanker who became a USPA jumper to clear my head. Not cool.

If I was his CSM, I would chew his ass out for being reckless but I would tell him to carry-on. We were all young paratroopers at one time and we all did some crazy stupid shit, so who are we to criticize or chastise anyone else for doing stupid shit that we used to do when we were his age!

It’s interesting how it’s generally the “I miss the old army” guys here that are talking about how the article 15 is a just decision, when in al reality, the old army could care less about stupid and cool tricks like this considering their priority was camaraderie, rifle marksmanship, and whether you can run that 2 mile or not
