A goal of mine is to attend Airborne School after finishing MP BOLC. What steps can I take to get me a slot?

I have 30 days before I have to report to Germany, and I’m hoping instead of taking leave I can attend a school before reporting. I could contact my branch manager, however I have been told it’s not the best idea. Any tips/suggestions would be great!

Last I heard, they were taking walk-ons for Air Assault at Ft. Hood. Dunno if that's still a thing. PNN maybe? Can anyone confirm?
