A new emphasis on leadership?

This seems to be the lasted commander to be relieved/suspended. It is rare to see both the commander and the Command Sergeant Major to both be relieved/Suspended at the same time.

Due to the down sizing it seems to me that they Army can be somewhat more selective of their leaders. As a result they will be quick to remove a leader due to a loss of confidence in their leadership. This is been much more of an issue with the Navy.

Is this an issue that we are facing as of the post war era begins? Or has this always been there but leadership got a pass due to the wars and high operational tempo of units deploying?

Is this a sign that the Command Climate Surveys are working? The only information that has been released about this is that they morale of the Battalion was low.
