I had a similar situation. I deployed as part of a task force and worked in the XVIII CNOSC. Even though our command worked with and was complimented by XVIII Soldiers we were on orders generated from our brigade commander and therefore wore the brigade SSI vs XVIII or MNC-I.

Sorry to say sir that I do not know, USMC and we didn't need patches to remember what unit we were in. I do know that the 82 has an outstanding history and one to be proud of! Worked with a guy who was army veteran, who served in that unit. I LMBO after he said "We are All American and we call them the Screaming Chickens". Sure you can guess who he was referring to. Didn't know there was a rivalry between the two. Will have to say in my opinion, that unit has a history it should also be proud of. Semper FI

That would be the one to wear. Check out Medals Of America.

After deploying with the 82d SBDE, do I wear the sustainment brigade's patch or can I wear the All American patch as my combat patch?

I had my 3rd Army from the Gulf War when I deployed with my unit in Alaska. Our CSM said when we got back that everyone had to wear Binky, and I'll show him in the reg where it started that it was the Soldier's choice. He kicked me out of his office!

CPT (Join to see) - Was the Brigade authorized a regular Brigade SSI at the time? If yes, wear the Brigade SSI, if no, wear the SSI of the next higher unit. See MSG (Anonymous) statement and reference AR 670-1 and DA Pam 670-1.

If the your unit reported to a different command and the 82d Division HQ and its Brigades remained in the US you should continue to wear the Sustainment Brigade patch or patch of the command your unit worked for. If you directly supported one of the 82d Airborne Division Brigades while deployed wear the 82d patch.
