Hey, I know I can speak to my unit about this but, I was wondering after you ETS from the Guard, how do I go about getting my retiree card and NGB Form etc? Also, I’ve been on the Covid mission for almost a year and was told I would receive a DD-214. Not sure if that’s a myth but yes how should I obtain my retiree documents etc?

You'll receive a DD214 for any period of active duty over 90 days

Once you have 20 good years in the NG you will receive a 20 year letter. When you draw Social Security you can draw your reserve retirement

To add, once you have a 20 year letter, you need to submit a retirement 4187 to your G1, with an out date anywhere up to your ETS date, to transfer to the retired reserves. Otherwise you will just ETS out, and have to request transfer to the retired reserves before you can collect nonregular retirement.
Collection age is 60, unless you have qualifying deployments after JAN 2008, for every 6 month block, you can collect retirement 6 months earlier.
When you retire, you will go to DEERS to get an ID card.
When you are eligible to collect retirement, you go back to DEERS and get a new ID card.
Your state probably has several retirement seminars every year that covers this, you really need to attend one.

If you haven't done 20 good years and not received a 20 year Letter, then you will only be ETSing and NOT getting a retiree card. If you HAVE done 20 and got your letter, then you have a buttload of steps to do.

If you are on Federal orders for the Covid mission, and I understand many are, you should get a DD-214 if it was 90+ days. Are you retiring or just ending your time in service?

if you are ETSing you are not going to get a retirement.
You need 90 days or more of consecutive days of orders (no breaks in orders) to warrant a dd-214.

When you are done with your time in the guard you will out process your unit. They will give you your NG 22 either then and there, mail it to you or email it to your NG email.

ETS and retiring are two different things. How long have you served in total (active/reserve)? There is a lot missing here good sir.

I checked your profile and it shows you having been in since 2012. If that is the only service you have on record you don't meet retirement requirements unless you are pending a ned board or something else that could result in retirement but there are alot of unknown details that would need to be fleshed out.

Are you retiring after 20 years or just ETSing? If don't have validation you met 20 years I don't believe you will meet requirements for retirement. You can verify all of this with your admin folks.
