After watching "The Science of Hitting a MLB Fastball" I wondered, has anyone done a similar study of hitting a moving target with a rifle?

An enemy may appear, run towards you, and drop from sight in the blink of an eye. Can you hit the target with a single shot from a rifle or pistol? Of course, we know we can. We're all great shots, right? (Especially you Marines) I just wonder if anyone has considered the science of the challenge.

Why, yes us Marines are really that damn good. That would be an interesting study. Just kidding about being that good, hate to offend the Air Force.

CPT Jack Durish COL Mikel J. Burroughs COL Cr Martin I just finished watching the video. It's pretty good. Ted Williams said that he could see the stitches on a baseball. He had excellent vision and as most people know, was a fighter pilot during the Second World War and the Korean War. During an All-Star Game Kama he and Mickey Mantle had a conversation about hitting and Mantle put to use some of the advice that Williams gave him. Mantle immediately went into a two-week batting slump and had to revert to his original methodology of hitting.
