My packet is submitted and I’m sure it will be accepted. I have Sec+, Net+ and CCNA. Also will have my associates in a week. While at school my wife will stay here at Fort Carson. I am going to drive to FL. What allotments will I be allowed? Ie SEP pay, Perdiem exe.
Also are there barracks in Pensacola?

When you do an allotment, there is a warning screen that will pop up informing you the type of allotments that are not authorized.
If your school is longer than 180 days, it is considered a PCS move and because it is stateside your family is authorized to move with you. If you choose not to take your family to an authorized location, you will not receive any entitlements such as FSA(Family separation allowance). You also are not authorized per diem because it is a PCS move. Unfortunately there are no barracks for you because you’re married and receiving BAH. You will not get BAH for where your family if they remain in Colorado because it is a choice. You will receive PCS entitlements and that’s it. I hope this helps.

I totally understand. All we can do is provide you the answers to your questions. Sometimes the answer isn’t always what you want to hear but at least you have the information. No disrespect, maybe research should have been done prior too selecting the course. You can still choose to do it the way you intended, however at least you know ahead of time so you can plan accordingly. The Military doesn’t pay entitlements for things we choose to do especially when they allow us to have our family with us. SGT (Join to see)

You can actually get bah for where your family and stay in the barracks, they will have to do a g1 waiver and submit it. the best source is to call d co 344

You'd be amazed at how sure some people are at a packet being approved, and then it isn't. However, it will depend on how long your school is.

SGT (Join to see) I'd have to be at work to check in the ATRRS course catalog for the school length. Go Army isn't always correct or up-to-date. PCS length is 20 weeks or longer training. Usually, with multi-phase training has one portion which is PCS length and another portion that is TDY length. 17c I believe their first portion is a PCS, then you receive a follow-on assignment, and go TDY to the school en route.
During your TDY portion you should be eligible for family separation pay. If you want to know about the lodging and per diem expenses you will have to look that phase up in ATRRS.

If you don't want to move your family, you can apply for a bah waiver to allow your family to stay at your current location for up to a year. There are eligibility requirements for the waiver. You can find all of that in the milper message that authorizes it. If you request a bah waiver, you won't be eligible for family separation pay because it is your choice to leave behind.
