Am I correct in thinking that there are laws for civilians not to interrupt a moving convoy on the road?

Honestly, you would think so, but most of it is based on common courtesy which is sorely lacking these days. The same thing could be said about funeral processions, but I've seen more than one person interrupt a funeral procession because "they had places to be".

There is no law preventing that I am aware of. Your reactions will need to vary based on location. If you're in theater, ROE would apply. If in the states or Europe, probably not much you can do except simply be careful. On a public road outside of a combat zone, you are simply traffic, convoy or not.

Interestingly enough, in many states interrupting a funeral procession is illegal. In PA, it's 3 points and a $50 fine plus costs (so closer to about $120 all said and done, plus higher insurance and the risk of losing your license). I never really appreciated how much of an inconvenience my grandfather's 300ish car procession was until I was in college and got stuck behind a funeral on my way home from class one day. Didn't cut through it, though. There's a special place in hell for people who do that.

just block them in. They won't do it again.
This is a Soviet Military Liaison Mission Team car caught cutting into a military convoy in Germany. It was always a cat and mouse game with these guys.

At Hahn Air Base, these guys built a parking lot in the middle of a farmer's field that overlooked the Special Weapons storage area. They would park their cars and count the number of weapons we had on trailers. All we could do is keep covers over everything and wave at them occasionally.
