Yes, and you also need to amend your DTS auth to change your return date and get that approved before you submit the DTS voucher.

To add more detail, SGM, I was literally on the plane waiting 90 minutes for a pilot to show up and it pushed my arrival time at my final destination past midnight and didn’t get back to my HOR until almost 0200. Is that valid justification to get an additional day?

SFC Luke Anderson - Yes. But since your approved authorization was for a return date prior to your actual date of return, you will need to amend that auth, and get it approved before you do the voucher.
And an amendment to your DAMPS order.
Technically, the JTR does not require you to be in a duty status for travel day, but every state's USPFO DOES require it.

If I had been you, SFC, I would have tried to catch a couple of hours of sack time, then report for duty the next day. Report to the Shirt and/or OIC and let them know what you went through. This could get you some props and/or they might let you have the day.
